There was one summer in particular that I just could not stop buying La Vie Style House caftans. Of course I am still wearing them!
the la vie style house no. 0157 coral floral maxi caftan
This caftan one was the second in my lineup from the Dallas-based brand, only after I had procured one of the signature guipure lace ones and the coral net iteration went on sale. I would go one to collect seven. Might need another, my eye is on a yellow lace number!
I don’t know how the one size fits all Dallas-based caftan brand, La Vie Style House, flatters every person who dons one but I am not complaining! While these caftans are maxi length on most, they hit midi length on me. Forget the mini length; I had to return a sequin mini length caftan because it was just entirely too short on me. Otherwise, I am forever wowed by how this brand works on everyone I have seen it on.
Is La Vie Style House worth the price? I cannot tell you that as I don’t know your financial sitch. I can tell you that I have never paid full price. Markdowns or promotions strike whether you are shopping direct on the brand’s online store, via an etailer (like Shopbop or Matches), or a through a department store (like Saks). Just wait for the price to decrease.
After the outfit photos and credits, more La Vie Style House in the juiciest of shades available on the market at right this moment!
the juliet dunn cotton slip
This slip is just perfect. It is a floaty cotton layer, ideal for summer days topping eighty degrees. It checks in at 58 dollars which is relatively inexpensive, especially at the frequency at which I wear it. Ever so frequently. As I have owned this for four years and worn this a solid twenty times, the price per wear has been driven to less than three dollars per wear.
Juliet Dunn is not necessarily known for the slip, rather the sundresses are the hero items. This label is another one of my summertime staple brands. I only discovered the slip after digging around on the website looking at new arrivals of the sundress variety.
I wash the slip in cold water and drape it on a line to dry. It dries quickly, always overnight. Don’t you just love a low maintenance upkeep piece of clothing?
