Five Inside 60 (15)

I initially had big plans to exercise every day last week as it was Hell Week at Barry’s. I rarely skip a Barry’s challenge but between two work deadlines, this week got away from me.

I know that setting such aggressive goals can also set myself up for failure. Rather than feeling bad about not meeting a seven day a week streak, I give myself a mental high five for making it twice a week.

Family and my career are the two most important things to me. (P.S. dot com: Do not give me shit about prioritizing the latter with the former because we all know that if I were a man/father, that would be the norm.) I refuse to drop those balls. As long as they are still in the air, anything extra – ie exercise and other forms of self care – is icing on the cake.
