Since we moved into the guest suite post-delivery of our second son, it became apparent that the sole set of queen size sheets was insufficient. Newborns, and lactating moms, bring messes with all sorts of bodily fluids, necessitating running sheets through the laundry on nearly a daily basis. It was clear that the light green bamboo sheet set alone was not cutting it!
About a month before our littlest arrived, my husband and I looked for sheets at Bloomingdale’s, as I received a promotional gift card in exchange for dropping money on my son’s bunk bed. I was unimpressed with the thread count in relation to the price. Also I understand that not all 1200 thread counts are created equal and without being able to touch the sheets in real life, I did not want to spend big.

On a whim, after my newborn son spit up on the bed, I ordered a set of Brooklinen sheets. My only previous experience with Brooklinen product was a bathrobe I gifted to my husband several holidays ago; we are indifferent to it as evident to how it does not get regular rotation. Regardless, it was painless and easy to pull the trigger on the sheets as there was a sale on an already competitive price.
I picked the striped Classic Percale bundle. Out of the packaging, I was not particularly jazzed with the product; however after a cycle in the washer and dryer, the sheets softened considerably. I get the sense that the more the sheets go through the laundry, the better they will feel.
I am so impressed with the Classic Percale bundle that I bookmarked another striped set. As soon as they go on sale again, I am going to scoop up this striped bundle for the king size in our primary bedroom.
