Blackout III

For the third time ever on the blog, I am wearing all black.

The cartoon triggers feelings of nostalgia for me. Not just watching the holiday specials but also seeing the MetLife Snoopy float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. My sons have a huge collection of Peanuts licensed apparel, and growing by the…day. I have never found any Peanuts apparel for myself which I was moved to order; however I was moved by the Stubbs & Wootton loafer collaboration with the iconic vintage characters.

There were several options in the collection available in men’s, women’s, and children’s. I bought myself these and my son a pair featuring Snoopy and Charlie Brown. My only regret is not ordering my husband the Red Baron version.

I love any iteration of a cropped boot cut denim. This is. Style that I recall wearing circa year 2000 when I procured a pair from Gap in a pretty purple shade and later that year again from Gap in both black satin and red satin versions. I was only sixteen at the time, but I knew what I liked. My teenage self was clearly onto something as I am still wearing a version.

In fact, enjoying the style I am, as I own this style in at least three blue jeans washes, a white wash, lavender twill, cream corduroy, over-dyed black (still in stock!), and this faded black. I own them in a span of sizes and just wear what works at any given season / size of life.

I am wearing these jeans in a 32 tall, though I think I could go down to a 31 tall. I will eventually need to throw this pair into the dryer in order to retain the shape.
