This skirt caught my eye prior to Thanksgiving and since then, it was on my radar for a Black Friday sale. Luckily I did not have to wait that long as it went on sale prior to the holiday and I ended up ordering it earlier than expected. Even better? Shipping was so quick!
While this skirt has polyester in its fabric content, and you know how I feel about synthetics, everything else about this skirt is fantastic. I love the pockets, great to toting my keys/fobs around the office building. I wish I did not need the back elastic waist, but alas here we are. And the emerald green color can only be described as rich. It is the ideal shade to wear the week of the Super Bowl for any Eagles fan.

the j.crew factory bryn block heel
Let’s be frank. These shoes are essentially knock offs of the Chanel cap toe block heel slingback. But I bought them back in 2016, before I could stomach ordering such a pricey item. Nearly a decade later and they are still kicking. Nearly literally.
These days, I do have the Chanel slingback of which these shoes are derivative. However, there are two instances that I one hundred percent choose to wear the knock off in lieu of the real thing. First, when the street conditions are melty snow or rainy. Nearly every workday, I walk about fifteen minutes or a half mile from my childrens’ daycare center to my office. I refuse to subject my fancy stuff to wet conditions. The second instance is when it is especially cold. The Chanel style is a slingback, exposing my feet to the elements, whereas the J.Crew Factory version is a full footed pump. It is just a better shoe to wear throughout the winter.
