This Boden dress had me at its village-esque print.

I originally spied a similar village print on a dress from last year, which I had a version of from back in 2023. That dress was A-okay for a non-workday, as it was slightly sheer with a short hemline. During my lunch hour running errands in Center City, I received not one but two compliments on the dress.
On the other hand, between the collar and the conservative hemline this shape of this shirtdress is ideal for weekday in the office. What I did not know I would love about this dress is that the cuffs are elasticized on the inside, so it presents polished without the flexible smocked detail.
To counteract the longer hemline, I wear it unbuttoned at the bottom of the dress. I also forgo the self tie that the dress comes with, as the waistline rides high like those on most shirt dresses do on me.

These heels continue to deliver. I am especially cautious while wearing the satin material; I will not chance wearing them if there is a percent of rain in the forecast. I am also super cautious to not scrape the heel on a paver.
Being a bone dry day, I traipsed to the post office, dry cleaner, CVS, and back to my office. Across these errands, I must have racked up four thousand steps and these heels were still comfortable.
