I call this outfit Sea and the City.
the lilly pulitzer anabelle dress
Lately between both the standard and the Reserve collections, Lilly Pulitzer has been cribbing its own archive from the 1960s and I am here for it. Case in point: this shift dress mimics several of the vintage Lilly Pulitzer shift dresses I collected over the years.
This shift dress features white crochet trim at the neckline and at the front patch pocket, which is another feature that reflects its sartorial ancestors. Though they are shorter in length than the more scandalous 60s version, I love the two vents at the front of the legs. Finally, this dress is just longer than that of the typical shift dress carried by the brand. It reminds me of the Summer 2019-era Longer and Longest shift dress options.
I am wearing this dress in a size sixteen.
the jack rogers sandals
There comes a time in a woman’s life when she ages out of certain styles and Jack Rogers are no exception. I cannot remember when exactly I bought these sandals, suffice to say that these are one of three pairs I have left. I would prefer to wear a pair of A. Emery, Hermes, Loeffler Randall, or even Sarah Flint sandals. However none of the styles I have of the above brands hit the same teamed up with the aforementioned Lilly Pulitzer dress, as my blue with platinum whipstitch detail Jack Rogers sandals.
Maybe I will keep them after all?
I am wearing these in a size nine.
