This pleated gray skirt: it is giving Prada, it is giving Thom Browne. And for under two hundred dollars, I had to have it!

The moment after I verified a primarily wool fabric content, I knew I need to have this grey pleated skirt. In addition to being just an all around wardrobe staple that could be worn for at least three seasons pending geographic location, I spied the high end luxury version that this skirt was likely copied from on the front end ad pages of Vogue, the particular one Prada’s campaign featuring Carey Mulligan.
Weeks after spotting this skirt in the Prada advertisement, Doechii did Thom Browne a solid and wore a deconstructed suit from the designer during her Grammy’s performance before ultimately disrobing down to a sporty underpants set. While Doechii was wearing shorts on the bottom, since then, I noted a gray pleated skirt in the designers Instagram feed.
Will I wear it with a cowl neck woven serving The Row?
Uh-huh.
Will I wear it with a vintage Rolling Stones baseball tee from their 1981 tour?
Absolutely.
Whether you go ladylike Prada like Carey Mulligan or uniform Thom Browne like Doechii or rogue like one of my styling ideas, suffice to say that this very skirt will get the look with a fraction of the price to either of the design houses.
