I recently found myself drawn to a pair of Ferragamo Vara pumps. The higher, sturdy, nearly blocky, camel heel with red accent bow, specifically. It is the contrasting hues that do it for me, and always have ever since a particular set of bloggers started wearing them back in the early 2010s.
Even fifteen years later, my favorite Vara styles are those that have a different color accent bow than the rest of the shoe.
Ironically I already have a pair of low heel cream embossed Vara pumps, bow and all. The last time I wore them, I went from daycare drop off, to the office, to an event at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and my feet only started aching at the very end of the evening.
I wear the Ferragamo Vara heels in a size eleven.
