This past weekend, the Pamper Pirate discovered how to remove a diaper. Of course, this discovery happened when I was home alone with the Pamper Pirate. Once my husband returned home from running errands, after a shower and donning a sequin dress and cashmere sweater, a cocktail for mom was in order. After the jump, how to make a Gibson martini.
the cashmere sweater
I bought this cashmere sweater and the navy blue sister version two autumns ago, as I was pregnant and my stomach was out to there. Though it is not a maternity style, the open cardigan style of the sweater made it a pregnancy staple. I wore the gray and the blue at least once a week. It is exclusively available in tall size range. Caution: It runs large. I was able to wearing a size small throughout my pregnancy and the sizing was perfect.
A tall cashmere sweater is the holy grail of a six foot tall and taller wardrobe. This particular one is still in stock and on sale for about 170 dollars. It is well worth every penny because this sweater is a workhorse.
the dress
In our household, every day is a special occassion. Every evening after the Pamper Pirate’s bedtime, as we are preparing our dinner, my husband and I reflect upon each day and pinpoint our favorite moment. More often than not, the moment is Pamper Pirate-centric. A being of pure magic.
In the words of Jenna Lyons, sequins should not be reserved for “special occassions.” Even in the time of (hopefully) conclusion of quarantine, if you are having a difficult celebrating the mundane, sport sequins. This sequin dress is on sale and as of this moment, is an extra sixty percent off the markdown price. It is available not only in the champagne shade, but also black. Most importantly this sequin dress is offered in a tall size range, standard sizes too.
