Total Year of Less fail this past week.
I purchased a pair of marked down 7 For All Mankind Dojo denim. This particular pair of denim has a 36 inch inseam. Finding a pair of marked down premium denim with a long inseam is unheard of. Finding a pair on sale? Never happens!
I also uncovered a pair of rust wide wale corduroy pants with a 36 inch inseam for forty dollars. The Loveshackfancy dress I have been eyeing all summer and a scrunchie from the brand’s collaboration with Jennifer Behr were marked down with an addition 25 percent off.
I bought these velvet loafers to go along with the pink grosgrain Staud gown that I purchased for a work even of my husband’s. The order still has not hit the embassy mail room but I am assuming it is going to fit on the short side, necessitating a pair of flats. These Stubbs & Wootton loafers are from the Assouline collaboration, released earlier this summer. Ironically, the brands released the collaboration immediately after I deemed the Assouline books basic on Twitter.
Nevertheless, I could not resist the Palm Beach loafers to go along with the gown. I would have eventually ordered them anyways, as I love Palm Beach, I love the brick and mortar Stubbs & Wootton outpost there, and I love the color combination. With a little internet sleuthing, I was able to find an applicable coupon code. While FRIENDSOFSTACIE still works on most styles, the code does not work on for the Assouline collaboration. Cut to me discovering Krista Robertson’s Covering the Bases blog and her code for 20 percent off, COVERINGTHEBASES. This code from a post dated from 2019, still works and is comprehensive of most collections! (The code works on the men’s and women’s COVID-19, Wedding, Happy Hour, Zodiac, Best in Show, Zachary Weiss, Tony Duquette, Scalamadre, Peanuts, Monopoly, and Harry Potter collections. [Unfortunately the code is not applicable on the juniors’ collections.])
