Recently, and seemingly all at once, I have noted several retailers that have installed a resale shop-in-shop within their online stores. While some of the resale pages from retailers such as J.Crew and Madewell, are powered by Thredup, others such as Sarah Flint are seemingly managed by an in house program. This is a great way of uncovering that one item that you missed out on the first time around, only to have obsessed about ever since.
Secondhand shopping can be a lot of work and due to that, I am doing the hard work and looking for the highlights. I am pulling any item uncovered from the resale sites that I bought and still love and have in my closet.
Although Lululemon’s Like New program rolled out a year ago, it is like new to me. I think the shopping experience is much more streamlined as the J.Crew and the Madewell programs (granted, as powered by Thredup), as organized as the Sarah Flint Sequel program. For example, all sizes and conditions for the same item are listed under that one item. Once selected, you can select your size and the condition if available. I like that you can search key words such as style names and colors via Like New store.
