A return to the La Vie Style House No. 400 Guipure-lace Kaftan, the first of my collection of the brand.

I ordered this kaftan while on the road with the family during our 2022 stateside spring vacation. We were living in Kazakhstan at the time, but it managed to beat us back to Asia as it was waiting in the embassy mailroom by the time I got my toddler over jet lag and made it to post.
I am ever wowed how La Vie Style House is able to offer one size fits all sizing that actually fits such a plethora of sizes and heights. (Looking at you, Brandy Melville. 👀 ) The La Vie Style House styles not only fits, but flatters. Sisterhood of the traveling kaftan? Maybe.
the slip
The kaftans from the brand do not come with slips, but luckily I have amassed quite the collection between standalone styles and slips that arrived as part of other dresses, usually Loveshackfancy. This slip came with this Loveshackfancy dress. I paired it as I had never worn this pink caftan with a matching pink slip, only nude or white.

Yeah, I bought these shoes seven years ago. I still wear them a few times every spring and summer and yet, I always consider retiring them at the end of summer due to the sheer fact that it is so connected to the year 2017. Regardless, I seem to find a reason to keep them around.
For good reason! These mules elevate any caftan or shift dress with which I pair them. They constantly yield compliments even if they are synonymous with pre-pandemic times. If I like something, I keep it and I wear it!
