Barn coat fever has spread beyond the classic cut to longer lengths.
option 1: The first style is from one of the originators of the barn coat. Barn coats all the way back, before the pandemic and Olympia, before Jenna Lyons, before Mickey Drexler, circa 1983. Older than ME!
The price tag on this coat is 349 dollars, though it is seemingly always on promotion. It is available in a sole color, black, in both standard and petite size range. In standard sizing, it is available in sizes extra extra small to 3X; in petite sizing, it is available in sizes extra small to large.
option 2: In a rare example of high brands copying low brands, one of my favorite minimal labels has a version of the barn jacket. And priced at a mere 1,130 dollars. HEL-LO!
The fabric is one hundred percent cotton, including the brown corduroy collar. It is also…waxed? Care-wise, machine washable, baby! Also, it is waxed cotton with a brown coat and brown corduroy collar.
This coat is available on sizes DK32 / US 2 through DK 42 / US 12.
