This ensemble is my interpretation of casual Friday.
the polo Ralph Lauren silk dress
I bought this during one of the darker days of the pandemic, after our family landed in KZ and was under the post-trans-country travel quarantine. Nothing like a cream silk dress to lift one’s spirits, right?
While I wore it last year for Easter Sunday and for a few Pamper Pirate play dates, I never wore the dress to the office. Admittedly, I had only been in the office about ten days since purchasing this dress and wearing it.
In the past I swapped out the self tie belt for my brown Banana Republic corset belt. That style is a bit too out there for my office and I couldn’t fit another thing into my suitcase. The self belt would have to do. Rather than tie it front and center, I shifted it to the side which made for a more streamlined appearance.
I am wearing the Polo Ralph Lauren CiCi Dress in a size 12.
the banana republic factory story true hues slip
Slips are necessary. I amassed quite a collection, between purchasing several iterations on their own as well as purchasing several Loveshackfancy dresses that came with their own coordinating slips.
I packed two slips as part of my Spring Capsule Wardrobe, a nude and white, both from the Banana Republic Factory Store True Hues collection. I already wrote about these one for an edition of Tall Tuesday. While I distinctly recall not loving the material, it was ideal for a spring day. The slip actually felt sturdy rather than heavy; not at all delicate or flimsy.
I am wearing the slip in a size medium tall.
