Vintage Lilly Pulitzer Edit/4

Even though it is not seasonally appropriate, I maintain that right now it a great time to shop for vintage Lilly Pulitzer. With the summer season squarely behind us and resort a few months away, owners of vintage might not be particularly excited to wear sundresses, alas might be more able to wrap minds around letting go of the vintage gems.

But not me and my vintage, sorry. I am holding onto those dresses!

I rounded up some great dresses. As always do your due diligence:

  • Size standards change throughout the decades. Additionally, dresses that are fifty years old inevitably get altered. Always ask for measurements.
  • Ask if there are any marks, rips, holes, etc. If so, is it repairable?

I regularly comb Etsy and eBay for fresh, newly listed 1960s vintage Lilly Pulitzer frocks. I stand by shopping vintage as not only a sustainable means dressing oneself but also making sure never to be someone’s #resort365 #spillthejuice twin.

The below dresses are mostly second generation, produced in the 1960s. The fabric is primarily the cotton / polyester, 65% / 35% blend that dominated that time of production.
