The contents of my purse have recently been overstuffed – and as a mom of a three year old, at times random and hilarious – and I am going to document what I am carrying and the bag in which I am carrying it on a monthly basis.
the Louis Vuitton Sac Plat PM
I love my Louis Vuitton Sac Plat PM, lamented at length previously on the blog. In a world full of the ubiquitous and amorphous Neverfull, I am attracted to the 180 option: the structured Sac Plat. I truly cannot articulate how excited I was when I found out it was re-released in 2021. I am pretty sure I was first in line to buy the next gen option of the iconic working woman style.

what is in my bag?
- My closet sale is on and on any given day, I have at least one package to drop off at the Post Office.
- I just picked up a Lab Order from my OB/GYN to retest my iron levels because apparently I am anemic.
- I always carry all of the small things in my Louis Vuitton Accessory Pochette, obsessed about on the blog. The TLDR is that I waited entirely too long to purchase it (not until 2021!) and caught it only after my spidey senses kicked in after it being out of stock for the entirety of the pandemic. Do you remember when this style was a mere $295? These days a new version of the Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessories has been edited to add a gold chain.
- As a denizen of the city, I usually prefer to travel on foot. I like multitasking which translates to racking up the steps while getting to where I need to go. Carrying an umbrella is a nonnegotiable and I caught this one on sale after ducking into the Walnut Street Brooks Brothers.
- On the note of walking, I always keep a set of earphones with me for adding in a podcast to my multitasking efforts.
- Speaking of nonnegotiables, I need one pack of tums on my person, in my bathroom, in my nightstand, in my kitchen, and at my WFH desk during the latter two trimesters of pregnancy. Right now the chewy berry variety is in my purse.
- I tend to forget my keys. Quelle horror!
- After fifteen years, I retired my Coach planner (up for grabs!) in lieu of a new Louis Vuitton Agenda. I had my eye on the large version in Damier Ebene canvas since 2016 when the Coach version initially started to show its wear. I don’t necessarily use it for day planning, but I love it for carrying paper-based items, especially for travel. When your family has several types of passports – standard, diplomatic, military – the planner keeps them and the corresponding visas organized. Pro-tip: always print out your boarding passes, just in case your phone battery goes rogue.
- When at any point, you are carrying more than one currency, the Hobo International Lauren wallet is the only way to go. This pretty pearly hue is my fourth version of the wallet since 2007. I rounded up some, many of which are marked down with an additional 20% off with code NEWBAG.
