In recent retail news, Roller Rabbit is teaming up with Target for the latest big box store collaboration. In recent Lucindervention news, I still will not be shopping from Target. DEI has remained rolled back, ergo, I am checking my wallet at the bullseye.
It actually does not surprise me. Roller Rabbit seems to collaborate with everyone: Loveshackfancy, Lilly Sisto and family, Stoney Clover Lane, Mackage, Faherty. Target is just the big bad ultimate get for the purveyor of prints and pajamas and printed pajamas.
It is no secret that I love a collaboration, as initially triggered by the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection. Tracking just the Target-adjacent ones alone, I lamented about the Vineyard Vines, Loveshackfancy / Lisa Marie Fernandez / Cushnie, Target 20, and Stoney Clover Lane on the blog. There is something about limited edition pieces that prompt urgency in shopping a collection. FOMO, but shopping.
but the Roller Rabbit x Target collaboration?

DEI programs benefit woman – even those who are double agents for the patriarchy, even those who falsely believe that they are above those programs – and therefore not even the best designer collaboration will make me budge. I did not for Kate Spade, and I will not for Roller Rabbit. I remain boycotting Target.
