the tory burch beach tunic
This tunic was released circa spring 2020. I would be lying if I said that I did not have my eye on it then. Somehow it became available three years later and I jumped at ordering a size larger than I typically would. And I am so glad that I did! When it arrived, I noted that this very style does not have the under arm side zip that my tie dye tunic does. The larger size accommodates any bulk I accidentally added to my arms. I have been lifting, gimme a break!
What I never noticed in the product photos was the detailing. There is fantastic beading and braiding around the collar which is just not apparent. The trim around the wrists and the bottom hem is two widths of grosgrain ribbon. Had I noted these, I probably would have bought it back in 2020 without thinking twice about it.
The length of this tunic is longer than the typically Tory Burch tunic. I think it is meant to be worn over a swimsuit, potentially alone. Because I am so tall, I am going to reserve that for the pool deck only.

the agolde parker long short
The brand AGOLDE might feel familiar because it sounds like Adriano Goldschmied. Goldschmied is credited with leading the premium denim boom of the 2000s. He was the genius behind AG Denim, Diesel, the 1969 Gap line, and more. Like past brands, his latest project, AGOLDE, is based in Los Angeles. This ostensibly is part of the price driver behind the shorts, but believe me when I tell you that the AGOLDE Parker Long Short is worth the price tag. They are the perfect length for the taller gal.
I own these in a medium blue wash, light blue destroyed wash, and now off white “Panna Cotta” wash. I have the former two in size 34, and they are on the larger side even after taking several trips through the dryer. As such, I bought the Panna Cotta wash in a size 32. Much better fit!
